Ocean Odyssey celebrates the raw beauty of weathered driftwood, allowing its natural imperfections to remain part of the story. Turtles, shells and illuminated jellyfish emerge along its sweeping form, transforming something shaped by nature into a whimsical underwater journey.

Dark, glossy driftwood layered with shards of wax crayon, delicate pearl details and white flowers. When the tealight glows, the colourful crayon shards create the look of warm molten chocolate — a playful little illusion made from repurposed materials.

Each tiny flake was individually placed by hand.

Inspired by my much-loved Ossie — my cat the dog. A warm, whimsical illuminated piece created with flowers, light and plenty of personality.

Hand-shaped and carved from driftwood, with wood-burned detail and character, he is dressed for race day with a bridle fashioned from repurposed old jewellery, finished with lace, pearls, florals and a little gold heart.

I made this one for my sugar cane farmer mate.

Part of Mackay’s story — and part of mine.

When my dad first hitchhiked from Sydney to Mackay, he was picked up by a local cane farmer. That chance encounter became a new chapter in his life — he went on to cut cane for that farmer for approximately five years.

Dare to DREAM. A theatrical coastal story of courage, imagination and finding your own horizon. Created from driftwood, shells, pearls, resin, tiny treasures and points of light, it invites you to look closer and discover another detail each time. What does DREAM mean to you?

When this pot broke, the break became part of the design instead of the end of the piece. The missing section was turned into a little opening for a succulent to grow through, with colourful stones and planting above — a playful example of giving something broken a completely new story.

An elderly resident accidentally dropped her treasured old crystal vase and it shattered. Rather than let something precious to her disappear, Janelle gathered the broken crystal and transformed it into a new creation — surrounded by flowers, shells, tiny treasures and light.

Something broken became beautiful again.

Created from naturally weathered driftwood and the final remnants of resin left at the bottom of the mixing container, Timeless turns what might have been discarded into something delicate and unexpected.

I couldn't sell this one. I loved it too much.

Sometimes nature has already made the sculpture. I just have to notice it.

The driftwood revealed the seahorse; a spiral shell became his curled tail, with tiny treasures, flowers and ocean details completing his story.

Not long after Alfie passed, the universe gave me these pieces of driftwood. The head especially — I could see him in it.

I joined and shaped approximately four pieces by hand to capture the last way my beautiful boy lay before going to sleep. Surrounded by flowers, shells and colour, this piece became part of his story — and today it rests beside him in my art studio.
